Tokyo Ghoul On Toonami

Any Tokyo Ghoul fans around here? How many of you are excited to see, that Tokyo Ghoul will be replacing One Piece on Adult Swim's Toonami block?

    Honestly, I would be a lot more excited and would be anticipating its launch much more had I not already watched season 1-2, several months ago. I often follow this timeline for media consumption; 1-.5 years prior = complete the manga. Day 1 = watch the series SUBBED, .5-1 year forward watch the DUB second round through for comparison. 2+ years later the series hits the TV, which gives me little reason to revisit the series with ads. Toonami/AS has serious nostalgia value for me since I grew up with it from the programs’ very beginnings. However, media consumption has changed and I support these series not by watching ads but by buying the shows outright. Is TG a good show, = yes, solid 8/10, but im not dedicated enough to relive the old days when the 21st century has given me a far great resource and convenience of consumption.

      This is very true. Toonami was revived on Adult Swim as opposed to Cartoon Network to appease those Toonami fans, who spent YEARS whining on the Internet about not having their CGI robot and his talking computer to introduce their favorite shows to them...  more

      Yes, I know what you mean. Originally, Adult Swim picked up Toonami because Cartoon Network said they didn't want the block back. So, Adult Swim claimed they were "growing up" previous Toonami fans by airing more mature content. All the while, 1/2 the...  more
